Carol Brookes received her MFA in Multi-Media Art from the University of Iowa. She spent 4 years teaching at various colleges in Florida and 6 years teaching at the University of Northern Iowa. Currently, she lives and works in Chicago. Her works are included in both private and corporate collections. 
Carol Brookes’ artwork has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in galleries and cultural centers throughout the United States, including Eastern Connecticut State University, the Viridian Gallery in New York City, the McLarry Modern Gallery in Santa Fe, Illinois Central College in East Peoria, the Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis, B. J. Spoke Gallery in Huntington, New York, the University of North Iowa in Cedar Falls, the Women’s Center in Los Angeles, and the Miami Metropolitan Museum and Art Center. In 2015, Carol participated in several exhibitions, including the SOFA Fair in Chicago, represented by the Maria Elena Kravetz Gallery, and the Seductive Materials exhibition at Zhou B Art Center. Carol organized and curated the exhibition Wall to Wall, which was selected to participate in Chicago Artist Month.
